Zoe Chan

Cotutelle PhD candidate at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Calgary and the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.I completed my B.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering back in 2015 and M.Phil. in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2018. In the past 5 years, I have conducted multiple clinical researches on runners and pre-eldery with early KneeOA. I was involved in the design and validation of a couple of wearable gait retraining systems, which helped patients in correcting their gait, reducing pain and slowing the progression of overuse injuries. My research focuses on the advancement of rehabilitation using wearable technology. I joined the neuro nexus because I would like to understand real-life health problems and work to tackle them with the skills I have acquired throughout the years as a researcher. I look forward to collaborate with professionals with different backgrounds, and together build and employ a solution for real-world challenges.
