Bridging disciplines and accelerating the translation of research to impact, Pitch Day is our kickstarter event where our enthusiastic innovators will form multidisciplinary teams around challenges in brain science and mental health presented to them by clinicians, researchers, industry and community members.
Over the next 6 weeks between October 17 – November 30, 2020, our program will offer participants various opportunities to network with other innovators, practice skills to tackle real-world challenges, design and build a prototype and demonstrate their products to compete for prizes.

HEALTH HACK WEEK

Neuro Nexus’ week long marathon of rapid prototyping by our multidisciplinary teams.
The goal? A functional prototype targeted towards solving a healthcare challenge in brain science and mental health. With access to workshops, 1-on-1 consultations and access to prototyping tools, teams will combine the expertise and skills of engineering, life sciences, business, nursing, medicine, and computer science to bring their ideas to life.

DEMO DAY

Rapid-fire pitches, inspiring demonstrations, and a growing health innovation community - here is where it all comes together!
On Demo Day, our multidisciplinary innovator teams from across the province will present functional prototypes designed and built over the 6 previous weeks to judges and the public in competition for $50,000 in awards, including seed funding, internships, incubator memberships, and professional services offered by our sponsors and community partners.
Join us in celebrating the hard work and achievements of these daring innovators, and get a sneak peek at what just might be the next big health innovation in Alberta!
