Shayla-Rose Somers

I am a third year student at Mount Royal University. I am majoring in Psychology with a focus in behavioural neuroscience, and minoring in Biology and Women & Gender Studies. I am passionate about mental and physical health care, neuroscience, and understandings ways in which the brain and body communicate with one another and the world around us to form our individual and collective experiences. I have various (and ongoing) volunteer experience in crisis calls, working with clients with brain injuries, and in providing mental health support. I am very excited to work with a team that shares a passion for accessible, intersectional healthcare. Looking forward to meeting you all!
