I'm a first year PhD student in Neuroscience at University of Calgary who loves spending time in the mountains. I'm originally from California/Oregon and lived in the Netherlands and Germany for my MSc.In a previous life I studied English literature and education, worked in elementary and preschool classrooms, and served as a parent coach for a home-visiting program. I love patient/ family engagement and putting science in the hands of the people! More recently, I've done data and project management for brain-based intervention studies and pursued research on human brain structure using MRI. While I'm still new at it, I love all things programming, automation, and machine learning. I'm excited to put my people and research skills to use and bone up on my computer science skills by learning from other innovators!
