Jackie Kan

Hi! I am a 5th-year software engineering student at the University of Calgary. I have an interest in machine learning/data analysis, and completed a R&D internship in that field in Japan last year. More specifically, we performed studies on people's emotional reactions to some stimuli and used that data to predict what facial expressions one would show in response to an event. Outside of my studies, I love reading and am an avid movie buff. I also enjoy writing from time to time, and one of my dreams is to be able to publish a book one day!
