My name is Harsh and I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary. I am super excited about this opportunity, and I cannot wait to work with like-minded individuals to solve problems related to brain science and mental health. I am outgoing and I love to be involved! In the past 3 years at the University of Calgary, I have joined various engineering organizations such as the Space Organization for Aerospace Research, Schulich AeroDesign, the Solar Car Team, the Collegiate Entrepreneur's Organization (C.E.O. Calgary), and the Schulich Space Rover Team. From each experience, I have gained a deeper understanding of creating drawings using CAD software, 3D modelling, and manufacturing processes. Along with this, I have acquired strong skills in entrepreneurship, marketing, business development, and presenting/pitching. Last year, I had the chance to further grow my skillset when I was selected to participate in the European Innovation Academy, the world's largest extreme accelerator for start-ups, where I co-founded a start-up with 4 individuals. Due to my demonstrated commitment to working with and leading people, I was appointed as the Chief Business Officer, which involved tracking progress, performing market research, and creating the revenue model and cash flow statements. As a result of my enthusiastic and cooperative attitude, I was chosen to represent our start-up and pitch the idea in front of a panel of angel investors and over 500 students at the Grand Pitch on the last day of the program. I have joined the Neuro Nexus competition with high expectations, and I look forward to working on an idea with a team that accelerates scientific discoveries.
