Christine Dowling

Hello! My name is Christine Dowling and I am currently a first year student at the Schulich School of Engineering. Prior to starting at Schulich, I completed my Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Calgary with a focus on Risk Management and Finance. I graduated in 2009 and worked for a year in the insurance industry. I then went onto Queen's University where I completed my Law Degree, graduating in 2013. I practiced in Calgary, with the bulk of my practice being in banking and financial services up until August 2020 when I returned to University of Calgary for the next chapter of my career. I've joined Neuro Nexus as an Innovator because I think that there is a lot of potential in bioengineering / biomedical engineering and this challenge is a great way to connect with other professionals who are also interested in creating a community and building up this industry in Calgary (and beyond). With my previous degrees and career in law I think that I can bring a lot to a team. In addition, I am very interested in building my technical skills and this competition offers a way to get that hands on experience with real-world problems.
