I'm a fourth year Electrical Engineering Co-op undergraduate student at the University of Alberta. I've been a part of AlbertaSat, a student group that makes cube satellites. My job was to design the schematics for the payload. I've also worked on pcb design for a circuit that triggers a camera on an F18 jet and data analysis using C/C++ and MATLAB to calculate fuel flow for aircraft with the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment in Cold Lake, AB. I've also volunteered with Action for Healthy Communities, a non-profit organization that assists newcomers and refuges settle in Edmonton, where I helped with running and planning events. I'm interested in this competition because I like the field of medicine and I want to apply my engineering skills to help people with neurological issues especially regarding mental health. Also, it's an exciting field for me as there is very little we know about our brains.
