Fuse 33 Makerspace (1720 Radisson Dr SE, Calgary, AB T2A 1Z8) - make@fuse33.com

  • Fully featured makerspace
  • Will host workshops on a case-by-case basis as organized by teams

Maker Multiplex HQ (622 Collegiate Pl NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4V8 - Schulich School of Engineering - ENA04)

  • Individual workstations within the Makerspace headquarters (ENA103) can be booked by UofC students through libcal: https://schulich.libcal.com/
  • The headquarters includes 2 soldering workstations among other types of equipment.
  • Certified UofC students/faculty/staff can access the cloud printing service "AstroPrint".
  • Students must take the training for Introductory 3D printing course online (Indexed on the Schulich Booking System webpage) to learn how to use this service.
  • While the next training session is "scheduled" for November 24th, registrants for the course will get a link to a self-paced course that can be accessed at any time.
  • There is no on-site printing. The estimated lead time for print jobs is 2 days (although it depends on the size of the job). The earlier teams can provide design files, the better.

Edmonton

The Shack (11335 Saskatchewan Dr NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2M9 - Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS) Building - Bottom floor L2-136. )

  • ACCESS: Must review the eClass (https://eclass-cpd.srv.ualberta.ca/login/index.php) and complete the quiz, then email Mark Freeman (freemanm@ualberta.ca) individually and wait for confirmation that they have been added to the personnel list.
  • USING 3D PRINTERS: watch videos at the Shack eClass, complete the corresponding quiz, and have someone with prior 3D printing experience accompanying them on Zoom to help out if needed
  • Tools Available:

The Elko Engineering Garage (11335 Saskatchewan Dr NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2M9 - Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS) Building - Bottom floor L2-136. )

  • Will print 3D models on demand at cost
    • FDM and SLA
  • Submission cut-off times should be Tuesday and Thursday at 12pm (noon), production time will vary based upon module size and complexity
